I recently received my Foxwell NT530 Scanner.
It does not update the IM Readiness live but it will display monitor status
I will update more regarding pros and cons of the scanner after I have more time with it AND I get it connected to an SSR.
These were screen shots on my 05 Hyundai using OBD2 mode
#1 Picture of the unit – screen might be small but easier to pack away
#2 After selecting OBD2 and auto scan (it scans fo any data on the data link connector (DLC – process is slow)you need to hit F1 to advance (Note is show all monitors applicable to this car had run and there are no codes – this would be a pass!
The next screen may then show a choice of modules that reported if more than one language like on the 05-06 but not earlier models I believe – More to follow on another thread after more testing. Warning its hexidecimal Like $07EA . Just try both until you find what your looking for.
#3 This screen appears when you have found connection to the ECM
#4 Selecting IM readiness will allow to find out which monitors have not run, you will have to page down on scanner to see them all.
Again more to follow regarding this Foxwell NT530 scanner and an early model SSR – also a non SSR GM CAN equipped car for comparison at a later date.
Spring break is in two weeks and I hope to bring mine home and spend some time with the scanner.
